Another 70s inspired outfit that I wore yesterday, I have to admit it’s not yet a 100 per cent comfortable walking bare legged but I just had to sport this combo before I forgot about it. I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I come up with brilliant outfit ideas that I completely forget unless I try them on and take a picture the very instant :) Not to mean that this is a brilliant outfit idea, but a blue dress + tall suede boots is one of my favorite combos this season. I would definitely wear them with a suede coat (like this one), but until I get my hands on it, this brown one I’ve had for a couple years will do.

I’m wearing:

Coat – H&M
Dress – Lindex (similar ones here and here)
Bag – Zara
Boots – Zara (similar ones here, cool patent ones here)

making a case for the 70s trend

Let me start by saying I love new trends. Sometimes I get on the bandwagon a bit later than other fashionistas, but don’t you agree trends make dressing so much more exciting?

I do realize that the 70s trend is either love or hate, though! I’m 100% sold, but I’m not gonna go crazy shopping for all the new 70s inspired garments. I have a better idea – why not make it work with what we already have? I have to admit that it would be harder to recreate a similar look without flares, but that is one of the 70s inspired pieces that I really recommend investing in, because they are here to stay. In this look I incorporated four things I love about about the 70s:

1. Flares, obviously :)
2. Wearing turtlenecks under light jackets or shirts
3. Safari-inspired outerwear (in my case this is a utility jacket I bought a while ago)
4. Cinched waist (preferably wider belts)

But of course, there’s so much more to this trend than what you’re seeing here and I’m extremely inspired to create more outfits, so stay tuned! P.S. Check out my 70s Inspiration pinterest board for more!

I’m wearing:

Jacket – Asos (similar ones here, here and here)
Turtleneck – Zara
Pants – BeTrendy
Belt – Asos
Bag – Asos (similar ones here and here)

I really love the fringe trend that’s so huge this season, but for some reason fringe on a brown or beige suede jacket seems kinda cliche, don’t you agree? I found this black fringe jacket a while ago and I like how it can be styled in an edgier way and doesn’t ask for a cowboy hat haha :)

I’m wearing:

Jacket – Romwe
Wide leg jeans – Front Row (cool ones here, here and here)
Top – Chicwish
Bag – Zara
Loafers – Chicwish (similar ones here and here)
Watch – Michael Kors

Even though I’m feeling far more inclined towards the 90’s, I couldn’t help experimenting a bit with the 70’s inspiration. I guess if my dress had bell sleeves this outfit couldn’t be any more reminiscent of that decade :) I think this also has a lot to do with the wider fit and length of the boots I’m wearing here. What do you guys think of this outfit?

I’m wearing:

Dress – FrontRow
Sleeveless coat – Betrendy (mine is in size XS)
Boots – Zara (similar ones here and here)
Bag – Marc by Marc Jacobs
Necklace – ByInviteOnly
