I don’t know about you guys, but I personally never had a love & hate relationship with UGGs. Maybe it’s because of the really cold temperatures I sometimes find myself living in, that only these boots seem to cope with, but I always loved their minimalistic styles. I’m a huge fan of chunky boots over skinny pants, like in the old times of Givenchy or Isabel Marant, and these boots right slightly remind me of that silhouette.
I chose the classic chestnut UGGs for a short road trip with a friend the other day and I kept the rest of the outfit as simple and cozy as possible, but I definitely see myself wearing them in my looks of the day because the styling possibilities are numerous and I wouldn’t mind bringing more coziness into some of my more fashionable outfits. For every season I find a pair of flat shoes that I wanna wear all the time and these UGGs might just be the one! I do intend to challenge myself in creating a couple of less obvious outfit combos so stay tuned for that!
I got slightly carried away with all the 70s vibes, forgetting to share with you guys what I wear a good 50 percent of the time. Trends come an go, but I think that skinny jeans, cool tees and killer heels will be my closet staples forever. They look powerful no matter what and they make me feel good, that’s a felling I wouldn’t trade for the world! What are your wardrobe staples?
Sleeveless jacket – Zara (similar ones here, here and here)
Jeans – Asos (cool ones here and here)
Tee – Romwe
Heels – Asos (love these styles: 1, 2)
Bag – Saint Laurent
Looking at these pictures I notice two things: a) I really need to get the hang of that curling iron, b) moving to another city and eating out almost all the time has definitely affected my body, and not in a good way. I’ve been doing yoga three times a week for the last six months and try to walk a lot, but I guess for my age and lifestyle (spending way too much time in front of my laptop with a muffin in my hand) it doesn’t cut it anymore. I used to be an extremely skinny person up until my early twenties, and by skinny I mean having to answer a question if I’m not sick almost every single day and not being able to find jeans in my size. I got used to eating everything I want knowing it would not affect my constitution and this is the habit that’s the hardest to quit, especially since I have the biggest sweet tooth haha. Hope you guys don’t mind me sharing my little life drama and stay tuned to a weight loss post in the near future
As you guys might have noticed I’m a strong believer in loose shapes. Not that I don’t feel comfortable about my body, but most of the time I’ll go for a loose top and skinny pants, or tight top and loose bottoms or nothing tight at all. I guess this is my view of a perfect everyday outfit. What about you guys, do you usually go for looser shapes?
70’s or not, normcore is my top choice when it comes to enjoying a relaxed Sunday in the city. Wouldn’t you guys want to wear this outfit to a late breakfast on a sunny terrace with your boyfriend? Or to a flower market? Or even the office? I just ordered this bag and now contemplating all kinds of outfits to go with it and can’t wait for the warmer days to finally arrive!
