Some rare pictures with my hair looking more red than usual – a complete misunderstanding between me and my hair stylist, which got fixed in a couple of days, so these images will remain my only memory. I’m currently very bored with my hair and I’m looking for safe ways to change something without it being too much.

On another note, I mentioned somewhere on the blog that I’ve never had a properly pleated skirt, so this is a first! A great alternative to pants in the cold months, specially since it can be worn with thermal tights and tall boots. Double win!

To be honest I sometimes struggle too, especially since I’m living in a climate where below zero temps are not uncommon for winter months. Most of the time the first things I’m thinking about when it comes to winter style are skinny jeans, heavy boots and lots of knitwear, but let’s face it, such combos are boring.

I’ve drawn up a small list of tricks I’m using to make my winter outfits less boring, when I’m in the mood for it. Are you using any of these? How do you spice up your winter outfits?

1. Ponchos and capes

Just throw a long poncho over your average winter outfit or replace the usual scarf and you immediately look like someone rushing to a fashion show!

They protect your legs from the cold and are extremely trendy right now.

Patchwork fur and multi-colored fur is extremely hot this winter plus it’s the one of the warmest things you can wear.

I think it’s safe to say that over the last couple of years pastels have transformed from being a trend into being a sort of a lifestyle choice that simply can’t go out of style, and the obvious pantone palettes have nothing to do with it. It’s like biker chic, you won’t stop wearing your leather jackets just because you wore them for a couple years in row, am I right? Or am I just making an excuse for wearing sweet pink dresses every once in a while?

On a personal note I’d like to say that, despite my crazy schedule and living in two cities all at once this past month, I’m finally starting to find balance in my life and figuring out what I want to do with it. 2015 brought me a lot of eye-opening experiences, including group trainings and working with a therapist, meeting incredible, inspiring people and even though I’ve always considered myself blessed and happy, this made me realize a lot of things about myself that I wasn’t aware of before. I’ll definitely dwell on that in a separate post and for now, happy holidays!

Not that I don’t have any more weather appropriate outfits to share with you guys, I just think it’s about time I’ve shown you these overknees that have become my favorite party shoes in November. I absolutely love sexy thigh highs paired with large knits, pants are optional, but obviously not for this sweater length haha.

I’ve been working hectically in the studio styling and organizing shootings, working with clients and today’s my first free day in weeks! Achievements so far: woke up at 12 pm, went grocery shopping, which I hadn’t done in a while, met a friend for coffee, made this post and did my hair for the night on the town.  Which shoes do you think I plan on wearing tonight?
