I guess it’s bad for a style blogger to admit what I’m about to say, but high street sales don’t attract me as much as they used to. It’s probably because the stuff is so cheap I would usually end up with a bag of crap that I’d regret buying the very next day. So when I went sales shopping with my sister last week I only allowed myself to buy these shoes, and even though they were ridiculously cheap, I know I’ll be happy to wear them next year or even after that (if they last that long!). In case you forgot, the trick is to buy items that are comfortable, high quality and have timeless design.

The number of coats in my closet is getting so big they’ll eventually choose a leader and take over the apartment, because obviously one room is not enough. But I don’t mind as long as long as buying a new coat makes me happy. I’ve been looking for a classic camel maxi coat for a while, and so far this is the best I could get. Still dreaming about a floor length maxi one, but this winter that one will have to do, especially since I love it so much!

And the hat, notice the hat!! Knitted it myself last week while watching Revenge – it only took me two episodes to get it over with!

I first realized that I too can pull off hats when I bought this one, turns out all it takes is to figure out the style that fits you. Experimentally I found out I only look good in really large wide-brimmed fedoras, so no boaters or bowlers for me. I did order a fisherman style cap, because I’ve tried the one from the H&M’s Paris Collection, though I couldn’t decide whether I needed it back then:)

Anyways, I’m writing this because I know there are a lot of girls out there, who like hats on others but don’t think they can pull’em off. All you need is to find your shape!

Here’s an outfit I wore about a week ago (I’m so late with my posts!). I’ve had this J.Crew necklace I received as a gift for a couple months now and I never knew how to wear it because, even though I like it, it looks a bit … momsy :D Last week I had a non-business meeting, where I needed to look like an adult, but casual, so it came in handy. Never mind the hole in my jeans that I made just before leaving the apartment :P

I’m terribly ashamed of wearing this bag in almost every single outfit post, but surprisingly enough this $40 purchase has become one of my best winter investments, it goes with pretty much everything! I’m even thinking about getting a nude version for the summertime :)

Anyways, here’s a quick outfit post with what I wore running errands today. Red is an excellent transitional color for me, just the perfect amount of bright not to look too weird amidst all the mud out there ;)

Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a great week and sorry for not updating the blog for so long, as I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve taken up a small journey to Barcelona, which is about to end very soon. Before I head out to enjoy my last night out in this city, here’s an outfit from a couple of days ago I would like to share with you.

I’ve had a little shopping spree and I got this jacket and belt, among other things. The weather in BCN is not as warm as I expected, but hey, I’ve come from a -15° C cold, so I might be a little underdressed for the temps.
