Some of us (including me) might think a loafer is one ugly shoe but this year it got me curious. I can’t help but admire the uber cool loafer looks some of my favourite fashionistas have put together and maybe I’m ready to get a pair for myself, especially since it’s such a great transitional item – you can start wearing it right now and all through the fall, it goes well with skirts and pants and let’s not forget about the Parisian vibe that’s going on.

Can you think of a more relaxed summer outfit choice than a loose minimal jumpsuit? I can’t!

Sometimes getting dressed on a hot day becomes such a nuisance I can barely make myself throw on an oversized dress. This minimal jumpsuit is a great solution when all you seek in an outfit is lightness and comfort. I love that it looks a bit slouchy and the fabric is breezy enough to get through the heat.

This is probably my favorite way to style sexy tops like this one – with slouchy denim that is, and the more distressed the better. I couldn’t wait for the temps to get a little warmer to wear my lace up heels from last summer, still one of the most flattering shoes I own, so I had to throw them into the mix as well. A small cross body is always my bag of choice for almost any outfit, but this time I didn’t want anything to distract from the beautiful back detail, hence the large leather tote, also from last year.

9 tricks to make your winter outfits interesting

As a personal stylist I often find my clients struggle the hardest with their winter style. To be honest I sometimes struggle too, especially since I’m living in a climate where below zero temps are not uncommon for winter months. Most of the time the first things I’m thinking about when it comes to winter style are skinny jeans, heavy boots and lots of knitwear, but let’s face it, such combos are boring.

I’ve drawn up a small list of tricks I’m using to make my winter outfits less boring, when I’m in the mood for it. Are you using any of these? How do you spice up your winter outfits?

1. Ponchos and capes

Just throw a long poncho over your average winter outfit or replace the usual scarf and you immediately look like someone rushing to a fashion show!

Not that I don’t have any more weather appropriate outfits to share with you guys, I just think it’s about time I’ve shown you these overknees that have become my favorite party shoes in November. I absolutely love sexy thigh highs paired with large knits, pants are optional, but obviously not for this sweater length haha.

I’ve been working hectically in the studio styling and organizing shootings, working with clients and today’s my first free day in weeks! Achievements so far: woke up at 12 pm, went grocery shopping, which I hadn’t done in a while, met a friend for coffee, made this post and did my hair for the night on the town. Which shoes do you think I plan on wearing tonight? Overknees!

Life’s back to normal after my folks visiting me for the first time and my photographer aka my boyfriend being away for an entire week, so I’m finally able to share with you my today’s outfit. I love mixing neutrals with black, they give it even more edge and contrast. What I love even more is remembering I have gems hidden in my closet like this trench, which is one of my favorite go-to pieces when it gets chilly.

I don’t know if you guys are all fully stocked for winter, but in my case, I love recycling some of my summer or in-between clothes up until it gets really chill, and by chill I mean heavy snowfalls and below zero temperatures. xD This winter I want to invest in a gorgeous gray knit and maybe get some beige and navy ones along the way. Here’s a little inspo for you if you’re looking for a good sweater like me.

sunday cravings: Mini bags

You know it’s a trend when you see streetstyle divas like Miroslava Duma or Haneli Mustaparta sporting their cute mini versions of Birkin and Prada. The difference from the traditional mini shoulder bags or cross body bags is that there must be a top handle. I’m pretty good at living an entire day only with a wallet and a phone, so I think I’ll give this trend a go. What about you guys?

Today I wanted to take this opportunity and talk to you a little bit about how serious some people take fashion. Maybe it’s a side effect of blogging, but right now I’m at a point in my life where I completely don’t care what most people think about my looks and appearance in general and any criticism towards my outfits or those of anyone else make me giggle. Not because I’m so confident or think that my style is great, but because it’s only clothes and hey, all of us have the right to express ourselves the way we want to, even if it takes a pair of ridiculous shoes to do that! army green chiffon

As suggested by the previous post, this season I am crazy about the army green color. These chiffon pants were waiting for the perfect time to be worn for weeks and finally got into my suitcase last week, when I was packing for an out-of-town journey. As you can see, I didn’t style them in an unexpected way, in my mind a neutral oversized sweater gives this look just enough sophistication.
