Look of the day

wearing black for the new year’s

Like I mentioned in my previous post, black, sequins and heels are pretty much my favorite combo to wear to a New Year’s party (well, any party really). Oh, and add sheer, fringe, velvet and sparkle to that!

It’s definitely nothing new but it sure is powerful and sexy. I haven’t decided whether I’m gonna break the tradition this year or go with one of the two outfits above but I really wanted to share these two with you guys as they are very special to me. The beaded cardi and the sequin dress were bought at a vintage shop in Paris back in September and the dress is a vintage YSL, which was two sizes larger and I had it altered to fit me. Real closet treasures if you ask me!

Hi guys! I hope you’re having a lovely Christmas! In case you’re still thinking about what to wear to a New Year’s party, here’s a little feature we did in collaboration with Farfetch. You can check it out here and shop some of my New Year party picks below.

My idea of a perfect New Year’s outfit is lots of black, sequins and high heels. I still haven’t decided what I’m gonna wear to this year’s party but I sure will try to incorporate all of that into my look.

winter pastels

I think it’s safe to say that over the last couple of years pastels have transformed from being a trend into being a sort of a lifestyle choice that simply can’t go out of style, and the obvious pantone palettes have nothing to do with it. It’s like biker chic, you won’t stop wearing your leather jackets just because you wore them for a couple years in row, am I right? Or am I just making an excuse for wearing sweet pink dresses every once in a while?

On a personal note I’d like to say that, despite my crazy schedule and living in two cities all at once this past month, I’m finally starting to find balance in my life and figuring out what I want to do with it. 2015 brought me a lot of eye-opening experiences, including group trainings and working with a therapist, meeting incredible, inspiring people and even though I’ve always considered myself blessed and happy, this made me realize a lot of things about myself that I wasn’t aware of before. I’ll definitely dwell on that in a separate post and for now, happy holidays!

I’m wearing:

Robe coat – Baukjen (on sale, lots of options in my recent post)
Dress – Chicwish
Boots – Choies
Bag – Michael Kors
Bangles – The Peach Box

Funny how I wore this outfit right when I came back from Paris two months ago and it still feels appropriate to the weather we’re having right now. I’ve been meaning to wear this old skirt with an oversized sweater for a very long time and finally the opportunity presented itself and I love how it turned out, even though I planned some chunkier shoes and a chunkier sweater. It’s all about the silhouette, right?

Right now I’m getting ready for a business conference, where I’ll be introducing a corporate style concept I developed for a company I’m currently working with, so wish me luck!

I’m wearing:

Coat – Zara (cool camel coats here and here)
Sweater – H&M
Skirt – Betrendy
Boots – Zara (similar ones here and here)
Bag – Asos
Sunnies – ZeroUV

blue & tan

A very simple and obvious color combo, but one of my favorite nevertheless. I just love how the tan color of this suede-looking coat (previously worn here) is amplified by the blue background (actually more navy in real life but these pics were taken at dusk so the exposure settings had to go up).

Also here’s a trick how to wear culottes with flats, sure the cropped pants + sneakers take away from your height, but the top and the bottom are the same color, which elongates your silhouette, so call it even!

I’m wearing:

Coat – Shein (check out this real suede one here)
Turtleneck – Zara (similar one here)
Culottes – Chicwish (similar ones here)
Sneakers – Adidas Stan Smith (lots of options here)
Bag – Saint Laurent
Watch – Michael Kors
