Could you think of a more appropriate summer attire than a denim skirt? It sure does go perfect with all of your summer tops, dressy or casual, and can be worn almost anywhere, except maybe office (I’m lucky to be able to do that too). I’m slightly over the button through design this season, but the made-out-of-jeans style is right up my alley, as well as ruffles and lace up details.
The summer season is here, and while for certain passport-related reasons I’m unable to hit the sea side in the nearest month, I’ll be sure to hit a lot of pools in my town to get ready for the beach when it finally happens! I hope you are luckier than me and have a vacation to prepare for. This season look out for onepiece bodysuits, simple minimalistic tops and bottoms, ruffly tea dresses, straw bags and pretty much anything straw, as well as cute printed beach towels and bright colored inflatables for those lust-worthy instagram pics.

Whether you are planning a summer getaway or thinking about comfortable urban summer, there’s no way you can get by without a stylish straw bag. From small rounded cross-bodies to wicker ginormous beach totes and baskets, there’s a straw bag for every girl, see the selection of my favorite summer bags below!
I believe this trend has been strong since last year but to me this season’s ruffles seem fresher than ever. Probably because of the new textures and those genius skirts the designers have come up with for 2017. I’m officially on the hunt for a perfect ruffled skirt, but I wouldn’t mind getting a few cutesy ruffled tops along the way.
Gingham is making a a huge comeback for spring ’17, but this time it’s taken a completely new, bolder look. Asymmetric cuts, deconstructed gingham, structural shapes, ruffles and mixed prints – this season the designers offer us the intriguing new ways of wearing gingham. I was never a fan of this print, but I have to admit, this season’s shapes and cuts totally won me over.
