The snowflakes I saw outside my window today served as a great reminder to start adding warmer items to my closet. I got so distracted prepping for, and enjoying the sunny Paris that it just dawned on me that it’s not getting any warmer in the next 5 months. Ouch!
I’m honestly not a big fan of the colder months, even though I CAN finally start layering my clothes (paste other blogger cliches about fall), but some nice knitwear in neutral colors does make this period of time more bearable and it’s a fact.
It’s funny how certain styles are trending every year and by the end of the season everyone’s fed up with them, but the following year the excitement is there again. Fashion! To be honest, I’ve never had any particular interest in pleated skirts, not when they were bright maxis, or pastel chiffon midis, or graphic asymmetric whatevs and I don’t remember if I ever had one. This season though I’m really inspired to get one and wear it with sweaters and all kinds of masculine shoes.

It’s the fashion month and seeing all the gorgeous and quirky street style all over the web has inspired me to step up my style game a little, especially in terms of shoes. I’ve been noticing some gorgeous pom pom shoes here and there and even though this trend is a bit raw, it goes without saying such special shoes can add a perfect twist to an ordinary outfit. Definitely getting a pair for myself, once I decide which ones I like more. What do you guys think of pom poms on shoes?

It’s been a while since I last made one of my inspirational Sunday cravings posts so I’m renewing this section with one of the hottest trends happening now. You’ve probably noticed that 2015 is about all things lace up. First we had these shoes that I’m personally crazy about, and now we have bodysuits and tops and dresses, which are so 70’s and yet flattering and sexy (let’s face it, not all of the the 70s-inspired garments can boast that!).
Surfing the web I was actually surprised the online stores already have so much diversity in the lace up department. How do you guys feel about this trend, YAY or NAY?
