Let’ face it, elegant minimalism is easier said than done! I always look at those chic girls on my tumblr feed and crave their neutral basic style, but when I’m shopping, my eyes inevitably get caught by trendy and bright colored pieces and sometimes I just can’t resist. But this is essentially my style goal – a look so timeless and classy your eyes rest just looking at it! Luckily online stores know what I’m after, so here’s my selection of those perfect neutral basics that will let you achieve the coveted minimalism.
Moving on with my insta outfit series, here’s one I wore a couple days ago. The weather is getting really cold and nasty so taking pics with my iPhone rather than a camera becomes a smart way to create content, it’s less time consuming and hence, I don’t freeze my butt off, lol. I love matching my top with the color of my outerwear, this helps creating a rather solid outfit, that doesn’t have too much going on even when it actually does.

I gotta admit, when I clicked Order to get this vinyl trench coat, I only wanted to pair it with hoodies and I din’t actually think I was gonna wear it often. My boyfriend called it a weird vampire slayer coat, which for me was a challenge to prove him it’s stylish and super versatile. I wore it so many times this fall just to prove him wrong that it literally became my favorite coat ever, it’s warmer than I initially thought and it’s surprisingly comfy. I wish the idea to do this post came to me earlier, I might have shown you at least 10 ways to style a vinyl coat, but we’ll have to do with three.
Denim & Hoodies
Obviously this is the safest option to go with, a hoodie and a pair of your favorite jeans can make the strangest coat look wearable and since I have like a hundred hoodies I’ve recycled this look many times. Also, it’s the easiest way to make everyone around you feel ok about the vinyl coat (a lot of my friends were freaked out at first, haha) but most importantly, it’s my everyday office attire that I love dearly.

Feminine Dress and Heels
A patent coat thrown over a sexy dress makes me feel very powerful and I wanted to try this combo the moment the delivery guy brought me this gorgeous Lavish Alice ribbed knit bodycon with cutouts (check out their Black Friday sale!). Incidentally I had these Jeffrey Campbell boots waiting for their time so this is how this outfit came together.

Beret & Red Boots
All of my favorite fall trends combined in one outfit! I love how berets elevate the simplest of looks, but I have to confess they look way better than they feel on, guess that’s something I have to get used to. Red boots is a trend I was very interested in from the very beginning but I guess I was too picky, so I ended up getting myself a pair just very recently, but it’s the perfect 80’s inspired pair!
It all started when I found myself in a huge need of pretty biker boots and I started browsing my trusted online stores to find a pair to complete my outfits. I found so many I wanted to share with you guys, and the next thing I know I’ve been surfing pinterest for street style inspiration and saving dozens of my favorite comfy boots to create this post. I divided them into three trends that I’m loving and that are huge now and will be huge for a very long time.
This category includes both biker and army boots, because they look rough and perfectly match almost any outfit – from skinny jeans to light romantic dresses to pant suits. Plus they are the comfiest thing you can wear in fall/winter and the rough soles make them extra warm.
SHOP BIKER AND COMBAT BOOTS:
I didn’t notice how this happened but I feel in love with western-inspired boots, especially after I saw how my favorite fashionistas styled them in totally unique fashion forward ways. They look awesome with straight jeans, cropped or frayed at the bottom, flares and midi skirts.
SHOP COWBOY INSPIRED BOOTS:
Statement boots are what I can’t live without, COMFY statement boots are a godsend! Snake print, sequins, embroidery, metallics and rad colors give me life and they’re perfect for the holiday season!
