Look of the Day: Jumpsuit

May 4, 2013

Hey everyone, I hope you’re having a great day! Here’s an outfit I wore last weekend in Warsaw to an exhibition, which was partially the reason of my visit.
Judging from the fact there was nothing with a “jumpsuit” tag on my blog I think I’ve never worn a jumpsuit before. Being a huge fan of skinnies I guess I’m usually too scared of excessive bagginess that inevitably makes you look larger. This season however I mostly opted for baggy and slouchy bottoms (examples 1, 2, 3), because first, larger is good, and second, I can’t keep wearing skinnies for the rest of my life (I’m not sure why, but I think I can’t :D).
What about you? Are you a skinny-pant gal or the brave one?
I’m wearing:

Jumpsuit – VJstyle
Sleeveless blazer – Chicnova
Heels –  Nicholas Jocelyn
Necklace – H&M (lot of great options in this post
Watch – Casio

Until very recently I used to be the kind of person who would always put on lots of jewelry and then take it off before leaving home just because it’s too much. I don’t know what happened to me but I keep drooling over these crystal/chain necklaces that I see all over the web, so I couldn’t help but invest in a gorgeous statement necklace from J.Crew, which I can’t wait to receive. Look of the Day: Denim Dungarees

April 26, 2013

These overalls have been waiting in my closet for a couple months now and finally the weather cooperated. I also wanna try wearing them as pants with the straps hanging loose, let’s see how that turns out.

As you’re reading this I’m on my way to Poland for a weekend with friends. Also, I’ve been on an online-shopping-only diet for quite a while, so I can’t wait to hit the stores!

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

I’m wearing:

Jacket – Tideshe
Dungarees – Asos  (sold out, but great options here, here and here)
Shirt – StyleMint
Clutch – Bershka
Heels – Zara

New In: Accessories

April 24, 2013
Nicholas Jocelyn Suede Sandals in Lipstick color (also love these ones)

Forever 21 necklace

ASOS Gem Drop Earrings  (gorgeous emerald green ones here)

I’ll tell you a secret – I’ve never had my ears pierced so I never wore earrings, I guess I just couldn’t justify making a hole in my body with a little sparkle that earrings provide. I still haven’t changed my mind about piercing, but these earrings were just too cute to pass up on, so I turned them into clip ons, which literally took me a minute.

Oasis bag
 Keyhole sunglasses
Mirrored lens wayfarers (already sold out, but still available in blue here
Wood effect clubmasters (similar ones here).

I did some major damage in the mens sunglass department, because I noticed that the choice in womens department isn’t nearly as diverse. Plus I can share them with my bf!

Statement Necklace DIY Tutorial

March 14, 2012
(images via stylescrapbook.com)
I’ve been obsessed with this Giia necklace the moment I saw Andy Torres wearing it, it looked like a piece of cake to me so I decided to make it with my own hands. I’ve been getting a lot of DIY requests in the comments so I decided to post a tutorial with all the steps. I made it pretty detailed so here’s an overload of pictures with what you need to do.

1. Pretty simple so far :) I didn’t use felt for this necklace because I’ve never worked with it, and I used threads instead of glue just because things could get really messy :)

2. Use the ruler to draw stripes of the same width but different length.

3. Cut the fabric into stripes.

4. Fold each stripe in half and iron it to make sure it stays folded.

5. Start rolling the stripes for the necklace. Make sure the rolls are of different size.

6. Make a lot of rolls:)

7. Sew the rolls together in the shape that you want.

8. This is my future necklace.

9. Cut out two identical stripes, fold them and sew to close the necklace with.

10. Sew the strips into the necklace.

11. Now that they are attached, try on the necklace to define which length you need. Mark the desired length with a pencil.

12. Now take a clasp and attach it with a thread to the place you marked with a pencil.

13. The same goes for the ring on the other side.

14. Fold the strips and sew two parts together to secure the clasp and the ring, then cut away what’s left.

15. Voila! I can’t wait to wear it :)
I hope you like it! Tell me what you think!
