The effect trends have on us is incredible! A couple years ago I’d say this is the ugliest shoe style and this year I’m obsessed! Kitten heels are the ultimate fashion shoe of the season and they elevate even the simplest looks, but make it in a way more sophisticated way than your regular stiletto heels would. Do you own a pair of kitten heels? If no, take a look at what I found in my favorite online stores.
I don’t know how I lived without a beret before! I mean it’s always been there in my hat drawer but I just didn’t feel like putting it on and looking ridiculous up until this fall. Now I have two of them and I think I want more! A simple woolen or leather beret elevates any blazer and jeans outfit like no other accessory and the whole french vibe going on right now becomes easily attainable for even the laziest of us. Are you on board with this trend?

I haven’t published any of my Cravings posts for a while so I thought I’d share with you one of my most recent addictions: dusty rose and blush pink (aka rose gold, nude pink, powdery rose, rose quartz or peachy pink, if there’s even a difference, I’m confused!) It’s these shades of pink we’ve been seeing all over Instagram thanks to certain Kardashian/Jenner personas (that’s officially the first time these surnames are mentioned on this blog!), who I totally blame for setting this fashion trend.
In case you’re wondering, how to wear blush and rose quartz, these shades look especially powerful in shiny textures like satin or simple fitted garments like turtlenecks and bodysuits, also they look amazing paired with light khaki and silver gray hair, if you must go all the way I’m definitely surrounding myself with these colors asap, if you’re not a pink person but wanna try, I suggest going for an accessory like a bag or a pair of sneakers in blush or nude pink.
As a personal stylist I often find my clients struggle the hardest with their winter style. To be honest I sometimes struggle too, especially since I’m living in a climate where below zero temps are not uncommon for winter months. Most of the time the first things I’m thinking about when it comes to winter style are skinny jeans, heavy boots and lots of knitwear, but let’s face it, such combos are boring.
I’ve drawn up a small list of tricks I’m using to make my winter outfits less boring, when I’m in the mood for it. Are you using any of these? How do you spice up your winter outfits?
